Whats You Body Shape?

Do you go out and just buy the clothes that you like the look of but for some reason they never seem to look right on you? or do you avoid buying new clothes because you find it such a struggle to find an outfit that you feel good in? 

If so why not figure out your body shape...

If you know your body shape and know what shape and style of clothing is perfect for you then it can make shopping so much easier and keep you looking gorgeous!!

You could have a wardrobe full of amazing and expensive garments but if they don't suit your body then they will never look as good.

So what body shape are you?

It so quick and easy just grab yourself a tape measure...

Now you need to measure 5 places; across your bust, across the underbust, your waist, your hips and then finally your mid thigh.

Pear

If your body shape is Pear then this means that your hips and thighs are the largest measurement. If this is your body shape then you have more than likely got quite a small bust, a flat stomach, long waist and heavy legs.

Apple

If your body shape is Apple then the measurements of your bust and your hips will be similar then your underbust and waist will have very little difference. If this is your body shape then you will probably have an average size bust with a larger tummy and a flat bum.

Hourglass

If your body shape is Hourglass then your largest measurements will be your bust and your hips and compared to these measurements your waist will be quite small. If you have this body shape then you will have a large bust, small waist, big hips and generous thighs.

Slim Athletic

If your body shape is slim athletic then all of your measurements will be fairly the same for all areas. If this is you body shape then you will have a slight waist and longer legs.

Petite

If you are petite then you can have any of the above measurements, however you will have broad shoulders and will be small in height.

I'm Back!

I'm back, I haven't blogged for a while I've been so busy doing assignments and working. 

I have not been too busy to do a little bit of shopping though! So here's some of my latest buys..

It can be worn with so many different garments to create a number of different outfits; what about a pair of black high waisted shorts, leather jacket and boots to go for the rock chick edge or how about a pair of jeans and a blazer for a more casual look. You could also try wearing it with a skater skirt and a pair of gorgeous heels. Accessorize with heavy bold jewellery or with something as simple as a small pendent necklace. There are so many option for this top.Basically this top is a piece that I can wear over and over again, each time looking different.

£36This blouse i bought as a bit of a last minute buy because i needed it for a funeral. However when i got home i realised that this blouse is perfect for both a casual and formal look. To go formal i paired it with a high wasted pencil skirt and then turned it casual by wearing it with a long black vest, leggings and boots.

£38This shirt is gorgeous on!!! I wasn't 100% sure about this top when i first seen it but something made me want it, so i bought it and loved it. I wore this for a day out where i wanted to be casual but wanted to look a bit dressed up so i wore this with a pair of blue skinny jeans and a gorgeous pair of black wedges.

I wanted this dress the second i seen it, I just LOVE the colour! I'm saving this for a nice sunny day to pair it with a gorgeous pair of sandals.

The colour's in this top are what made me buy this top. Its perfect to brighten up an outfit and  is great for the spring or even summer with a pair of denim shorts and sandals.

Grammy Award's 2012

Its one off the biggest music events off the year and with some of the most famous faces of music walking the red carpet, who managed to stun the world with their gorgeous gowns and who shocked with their wild outrageous looks?

As well as stunning the world with her amazing vocals (that won her 6 Grammys this year!!), Adele also wowed us all as she stepped on to the red carpet showing off her new slimmer figure in this gorgeous figure hugging black dress that showed off her new curves perfectly.

Others who owned the Red carpet last night were .... 

Carrie Underwood who appeared in this gorgeous and eye catching Gomez-Gracia backless Gown which featured intricately embroidered sequins.

I have to say that this has to be my favourite dress of the evening and I think it looks absolutely stunning on Carrie. I love the colour of the dress and i am a big fan of embroidered clothing. This dress looks so elegant and i love how every sequin catches the light!

    

 Taylor Swift wowed when she walked onto the red carpet in a very glamorous figure hugging Zuhair Murad gown. This was Taylor's first of two outfits as she later changed into a more country girl dress for her performance.

I think this dress is perfect for Taylor's gorgeous slim figure and she looked so elegant as she graced the red carpet.

Kelly Rowland looked stunning as she posed on the red carpet in this beautiful nude Alberta Ferretti Dress which was perfectly detailed with a silver floral pattern on the bust.

Kelly has the body many of us would love to have, slim and VERY toned. She pulled this dress off so well with the perfect accessories to match. 

Not wowing quite so much on the red carpet this year was Nicki Minaj, Fergie and Victoria secrets model Annie V. 

 

Fergie wore an eye catching orange Jean Paul Gaultier lace gown, however she seemed to of forgotten to put something underneath.

 Victoria Secrets Model Annie V appeared on the red carpet slightly under dressed!

and last but not least Nicki Minaj, or should i say little red riding hood, turned up in a very large over sized red embroidered gown. She certainly stood out from the crowd however maybe not for a good reason?

Mood Board

Finally I've completed yet another assignment for my style course.

I had to create a mood board presenting a modern and up to date wardrobe for a famous female character. 

I had a choice of 5 people to choose from and i chose 'Sandy from Grease'. This took me ages to do because i was trying to keep the look similar to the original design of the character but without making it to similar.
